The University of Central Asia currently offers undergraduate degree programmes in Naryn, Kyrgyz Republic and Khorog, Tajikistan. As a residential university, student life is an important part of the UCA experience.
UCA’s Naryn Campus is located on the banks of the Naryn River, with easy access to Naryn Town. The Khorog Campus is situated at 2,200m in the eastern part of Tajikistan amidst the Pamir mountains. A third campus in Tekeli, Kazakhstan, located in the Almaty region, 40 km from the regional capital Taldykorgan is anticipated to open in 2021. Award-winning Japanese architect Arata Isosaki designed all three UCA campuses.

Student Life Advisors (SLAs) on campus are guides and mentors as you and your fellow students learn and grow together. They organise athletic and social events, help with academic work, provide career counselling and support you in your adjustment to life on campus. Throughout the academic year, our Student Life team organise academic and co-curricular activities.
Studying on Campus
UCA Campuses facilitate learning inside and outside the classroom. Campus libraries are tailored to support your learning interests and needs through textbooks, publications and access to online academic resources. Inviting common areas throughout the campus as well as outdoor spaces support a comfortable learning environment.
Campuses feature modern, technologically connected classrooms and laboratories.
Wireless internet connectivity is also available across campus. The University provides laptops to every student, equipped with up-to-date and relevant software.
On campus, students live in secure modular rooms which can be configured for privacy. In addition to ample storage space and electrical outlets, a study desk and chair, , a vanity sink,toilet and shower facilities are available. Each room has a window view overlooking the mountains. Corridors and walkways link the academic block to dormitories, providing secure direct access and warmth during the winter months.

Support & Wellness
The UCA Counselling Office is dedicated to ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed academically, personally and socially. UCA’s student support services include a team of professionally trained mental health professionals who provide counselling and offer outreach workshops for faculty, staff and student organisations on academic, mental health, interpersonal and wellness topics. Counsellors provide a confidential, compassionate and non-judgmental place to explore your experience and work through any concerns you may have.
Trained counsellors are available on UCA campuses to:
- Address developmental issues, including adjusting to university life, being away from home, and managing personal and academic challenges
- Provide academic support and career guidance to help manage your course load, navigate degree requirements, select internships and plan for your career
- Offer educational workshops and group sessions on the interpersonal and group skills needed to thrive in academic, social and professional environments
UCA’s sister organisation, the Aga Khan Health Service (AKHS), operates a licensed Medical and Diagnostic Centre in Naryn for UCA’s campus community and citizens of Naryn. In addition to providing immunisation, first aid, and health education, the Centre offers primary health care and ancillary services in a brand new, well-staffed medical facility.
Fitness and Recreation
Winter won't get in the way of enjoying sports at UCA and is accessible 365 days of the year. The Sports Dome can be configured for tennis, basketball, badminton, volleyball and football. And in the summer, you can enjoy the University’s international standard outdoor football and tennis facilities.
In the Academic Block, UCA’s gym offers elliptical and treadmill machines, weights and more. The main student lounge also features table tennis, billiards, air hockey, foosball, couches and TV entertainment.
Meals on Campus
At UCA, tuition and fees are comprehensive and include all meals. Dining services are available as well as an on-campus store and vending machine. Three meals and snacks are available, seven days a week.
