UCA Khorog Campus Update (September 2016)
UCA has begun the construction of Phase I of its second undergraduate residential campus in Khorog, Tajikistan. Alongside a $64.4 million commitment from the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), including $7.5 million from the Aga Khan Foundation, Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), the United States Government’s development finance institution has extended $30 million to complete Phase I construction of its Khorog campus. The Khorog Phase I facilities include a three-storey academic building (housing a library, classrooms, computer lab, student space, cafe, administrative offices, with faculty offices and housing), a laboratory, student life building and a student dormitory with three wings.
