Launch Video: University of Central Asia publishes two volumes, rich historical ethnographic research on the Kyrgyz Küüs This 10-minute video excerpt provides highlights of University of Central Asia's Kyrgyz Küüs: Analysis, Thoughts, and Opinions, Volumes I and II (Kïrgïz küülörü: Iliktöölör, oylor, pikirler, 1-2 kitep) book launch at Bishkek's Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. At the event, various dignitaries spoke about the book, and applauded author Asan Kaybïlda uulu for his over 20-year original ethnographic research and careful restoration of komuz melody recordings. The event concluded with a 45-minute melody performance by prominent Kyrgyz musicians. Kyrgyz Küüs is part of UCA's Cultural Heritage Publication Series.
