Aisulu has taught courses on tourism over the past ten years at the Bishkek Humanities and Kyrgyz National Universities in Bishkek. She has published over 20 scientific works, including two monographs and tutorials. Her research investigated the recreational potential of Issyk-Kul oblast. Aisulu was awarded an Erasmus Mundus grant, financed by the European Commission for post-doctoral research at the Human Ecology Department of the Free University of Brussels, Belgium. Her research interests include issues of sustainable mountain tourism development and the regional aspect of tourism geography.
