Pulat worked as a Water Utility Manager for Southern DataStream, a non-governmental organisation active in Tajikistan, funded by the Florida Rotary Club. His Masters studies was completed with support from the Edmund S. Muskie programme, funded by the United States Department of State, and his thesis research helped residents of the Grace Lake area in northern Minnesota investigate the degradation of lake water quality.

Since 2014, he has worked as an Environmental Engineer with the Solid Waste Management Group and holds a Teaching Assistantship in Civil Engineering Analysis and Fundamentals of Statistics for 3rd year students.
