Maksim has worked with Counterpart-Sheriktesh assisting in the establishment of Educational and Legal Centres in Chui and Jalalabat Oblasts of the Kyrgyz Republic. He worked with the Bashat Community-based Foundation and coordinated the implementation of the snow leopard conservation and research programme and has been involved in various ecological projects.  Maksim has worked in wildlife conservation for eight years and published and presented his research on land use and soil erosion at various national and international conferences.
