Ismoil is an associate of Scottish Networks International (SNI) and has experience in government, academia, aid projects and the private sector. His research interests include macroeconomic policy analysis, public finance and fiscal decentralisation in Tajikistan. Ismoil has taught and conducted research in macroeconomics at the Innovative Technology and Communication Institute of Tajikistan. Previously he was a PFM Council Secretariat Consultant with the Ministry of Finance in Tajikistan He has also presented extensively on changes in the structure of tax revenues of transition countries and their policy implications.
