Inaugural Life in Kyrgyzstan Data User Workshop

The University of Central Asia (UCA) and the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) are hosting a Life in Kyrgyzstan (LiK) Data Users workshop in Bishkek on 1 March 2016, 15:00. The workshop features presentations on the LiK survey’s evolution across its 2010-2013 waves, the panel matching structure, and the practical aspects of data access and use, followed by a discussion with participants.

Cities Of The Dead: The Ancestral Cemeteries Of Kyrgyzstan - Exhibition And Book Launch

The University of Central Asia, in partnership with the Global Centre for Pluralism, the Aga Khan Museum, and the Aga Khan Council for Canada will host a symposium, exhibition and book launch for Cities of the Dead: the Ancestral Cemeteries of Kyrgyzstan beginning Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 4:30 p.m., with an evening lecture beginning at 8:00 p.m. at the Ismaili Centre.

Panel discussion on Policy Dialogue on Climate Change Issues
On 25 February, the Mountain Partnership Hub hosted at UCA and the Kyrgyz Climate Change Network, jointly with United Nations Development Programme and the Kyrgyz State Agency for Environment Protection and Forestry, are hosting a panel discussion on Policy Dialogue on Climate Change Issues at the UCA Bishkek Conference Room. The event will raise awareness on issues of climate change and the development of adaptation strategies in the Kyrgyz Republic. The panel discussion will result in a policy brief to be disseminated.

On 29 March 2013, UCA’s Institute of Public Policy and Administration (IPPA) will participate in "Kyrgyzstan on the Way to Eurasian Integration," international conference organized by the Kyrgyz Republic Ministry of Economy. UCA's School of Professional and Continuing Education,  Khorog will host its 8th graduation ceremony on 26 March 2013, at the Khorog Theatre. UCA participates in Tempus-GEM teacher training in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic
From 30 April to 5 May 2012, the University of Central Asia (UCA) supported two teacher trainers – Ruslan Bobov and Farrukh Nazarmovloev – to attend the workshop on  theoretical and practical implications of using geoinformatics systems (GIS) technologies. The training conducted at the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture was the third training as part of a Tempus-GEM  grant project.
