Ali Velshi Lectures Inspire UCA Students and Guests
The students were inspired by his sessions on economics, financial investments, entrepreneurship, value propositions, and marketing, and actively participated in applying the knowledge in building business plans and financial models.
“I was most impressed,” said Ali Velshi, “that UCA students seem determined to increase their societal and civic engagement and improve the standard of living in Central Asia.” He added, “While Tajikistan may not have the same infrastructure as the West, these students are not allowing that to limit the way they think about improving the world. Their concerns about global imperatives mirror those of students at the best universities in the world. What is particularly encouraging, is that UCA students are not looking to leave Central Asia. They want to improve the quality of life here, and appreciate that as entrepreneurs they can be job creators rather than job seekers, and take advantage of the many economic opportunities this region has to offer.”
