Digital Learning Coordinator

The Digital Learning Coordinator (DLC) is responsible for coordination of the SPCE digital learning and working with academic staff and programs/projects designers. The DLC will lead exploration of new technologies and trends within the digital learning and EdTech industry, identification and suggestion of new tools/options for digital learning. He/she will be maintaining Learning Management System (LMS) platform such as Moodle based Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), support SPCE locations in planning, budgeting, promoting digital learning and training users for the delivery of these courses/programs/projects. He/she will also be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for learning platforms, maintaining them, facilitating, and coordinating the design and delivery of online/blended courses. The incumbent will be required to work in collaboration with the respective department resources for creation of Professional Development, Recertification, and Training modules offered via the VLE.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adopt existing/newly developed offline courses for conducting in online/blended mode on LMS Moodle or similar platforms using various tools, progressing development of LMS.
  • Recommend appropriate tools for developing text, graphics, audio, and video components of a course. Train and support instructors and other relevant staff in using these tools.
  • Identify and implement appropriate technical solutions for on-centre, blended, and online contexts and organize/provide trainings.
  • Train learners and instructors on using learning technologies available (Zoom, Teams, Telegram, Moodle, etc).
  • Coordinate bridging gaps of blended and digital learning activities with the IT team, and other departments.
  • Seek users’ feedback on learning components and their features to track overall system progress.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the design and delivery of learning courses with   Managers/Coordinators and instructors of locations to ensure full engagement of the learners.  
  • Monitor the quality of teaching and learning through the various monitoring evaluation tools.
  • Overall track the online learners and prepare the required statistical reports.
  • Assist in creating partnerships with institutions with vast experience in online teaching.
  • Develop a methodologic guidance for online/blended teaching at SPCE.
  • Work with Managers/Coordinators of the locations, Digital Marketing Coordinator, Communications Officer, and other departments to widely promote digital learning.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage/value.
  • Min 3-years of work experience with any learning platform(s), authoring tools, LMS, and related technology.
  • Min 2 years of teaching experience by using on-line tools.
  • Sound technical knowledge of LMS Moodle and other online platforms, with ability to develop online and blended learning courses.
  • Comfortable with using web and multimedia development tools, basic design ability.
  • Knowledge and experience of Google ads and Yandex metrics use.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills and able to work as part of a multi-cultural team.
  • Attention on details, and strong commitment to quality control.
  • Ability to multitask varying workloads, with a creative approach.
  • Fluent in English and Russian, knowing one of the Central Asian languages is an advantage.
  • Understanding of pedagogy and online/blended course development models is an added value.
