School of Arts and Sciences

UCA's School of Arts and Sciences offers a five-year undergraduate programme that cultivates the knowledge and skills students need to integrate different approaches to solve problems, and create innovations in their professional and personal life. UCA provides undergraduate students with an English immersion environment on campus, and the language of instruction is exclusively English.

World-Class Facilities to Enhance Learning

UCA's first campus opened in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan in September 2016, followed by Khorog (2017) and Tekeli, Kazakhstan that is currently is in the planning stage. The Naryn campus is located on the banks of the Naryn River, with easy access to Naryn Town. The master plan and concept design for the campus were conceived by award-winning Japanese architecture firm Arata Isozaki & Associates. Campus life provides opportunities for applying academic knowledge; community service; sports and recreation; cultural exchange; and developing responsible citizenship and leadership skills.

How to Apply?

1. Submit the completed UCA Stage I Application Form and supplementary documents online, by email or in-person to reach UCA no later than March 15th 2021 at 11:59pm (GMT+6).

2. Students who submit a completed application form, will be invited to sit for UCA's English, mathematics and logic admissions test on April 4th, 2021. Students can submit SAT and SAT Essay scores by April 4th, 2021 as an alternative to the UCA Test. Please use University of Central Asia Designated Institution (DI) code 7834 to send your SAT Score Reports.

3. In May 2021, shortlisted candidates to submit a completed Stage II Application, two recommendation forms from teachers, and a financial aid application.

Who Can Study at UCA?

UCA students will come from different parts of Central Asia and abroad, and from all walks of life. UCA also provides access to students with physical disabilities. UCA's Undergraduate Campuses are fully accessible and abide by International Building Code access standards as developed by the International Code Council. Equipped with elevators, specially designed student and faculty dorms and facilities, UCA is proud to accept all applications.

UCA is currently admitting up to 40 students per campus in each year of study with a total of 80 students. UCA aims to maintain balanced representation within each academic major, including by gender, regional representation, as well as from urban and rural areas. During the admissions selection process, minimum quotas are maintained to accept 85% of applicants from Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan; and 15% of international applicants.

Where Can I Study?

Applications are now available for undergraduate study at UCA's Naryn campus in Kyrgyzstan, as well as Khorog in Tajikistan. UCA offers specialisations in Communications and Media; Computer Science (Naryn Campus); Earth and Environmental Sciences and Economics (Khorog Campus). Based on the specialisation they choose, students can attend either UCA's campus in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan or Khorog, Tajikistan.
