The University of Central Asia’s (UCA) Co-operative Education Programme, launched in 2018, currently cooperates with 44 organisations across Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Germany. Khizer Zakir and Aqila Hassanzada, preparatory programme students from UCA, worked as Research Interns during their summer break with the Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN). They gained experience conducting interviews in the field, writing success stories, and learnt more about rural development in Pakistan.

Following Khizer and Aquila’s internships, eleven representatives from RSPN in Pakistan visited the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast in September to gain experience and insights on community driven development (CDD) (photo).
