Abstract
Exploration works discovered two gold-veins in Pamir – North Pamir gold-vein and Rushan-Pshar gold-vein. The veins have gold mostly as alluvial deposits. Further investigation of the deposits and other gold occurrences will help the Republic of Tajikistan become a country with rich gold resources. In this regard, such investigations are among the priorities of the National Mining Sector Program Development for 2012-2020.
The Republic will benefit from geologic exploration of occurrences of gold or deposits of gold that have already been prepared for mining, and from official registration of the reserves in the respective national registries. It will help to significantly increase the gold and currency reserves of the country. The lecture will discuss the promising gold deposits, and talk about gold-mining cooperatives and self-reporting gold-diggers, working in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Precious Metals and Precious Stones”. The law will facilitate intensive development of energy sector, transportation, communications, and social infrastructure in GBAO.
