Access Microscholarship Programme Launched
The University of Central Asia's (UCA) School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan launched free English language courses for 30 students as part of the Access Microscholarship Programme. It will be implemented over 2 years through after-school classes and intensive sessions, and aims to provide students from economically disadvantaged areas with a foundation of English language skills.
At the opening ceremony, Donald Lu, United States Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, and Zharkyn Ibraeva, Vice-Governor of Naryn oblast, presented certificates to the 30 selected programme finalists. It is funded by the United States Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic. Read more in Kyrgyz.
