UCA's Naryn Team Wins Debate Tournament
The University of Central Asia’s (UCA) Naryn Campus debate team placed first at an international debate competition held by the University’s Aga Khan Humanities Project (AKHP) in December and impressed the audience by their debut in international debates. Congratulations!

AKHP conducted a 4-day International Debate Academy in Dushanbe from December 20 to 23 on its unique Cross-Debate Format (CDF), concluding with an international debate tournament. Participants represented Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Three teams competed in the final round, with competitors representing UCA’s Naryn and Khorog Campuses, as well as a team from Kyrgyzstan. UCA’s Khorog Campus debate team took second place, followed by the team from Kyrgyzstan. One of the participants, Amantur Kanimetov (Kyrgyzstan team) competed for the first time in a CDF tournament, and was recognised as best speaker in the tournament.
