Regional development policies are important to achieving inclusive economic growth and competitiveness in Kyrgyzstan. Dr. Tamara Krawchenko from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), delivered a public lecture at UCA in Bishkek on “A Regional Development Policy Framework for Kyrgyzstan - Lessons from the OECD”.

“Understanding the economic geography and endogenous growth potential can be used to ensure that both sectoral polices and placed-based ones are fit to purpose across Kyrgyzstan's diverse regions,” said Dr. Krawchenko during the lecture.
