SPCE Students Win International Mental Math Olympiad

Twenty-three mental math students from the University of Central Asia's School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) in Naryn and Khorog competed in the 5th International Olympiad in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul on June 15 alongside over 600 participants (4 to 16 years old) from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The Olympiad was organised by the “Akademiya Rosta” Development of Intellectual Property Centre.

Eight SPCE students received prizes in various categories. UCA’s top winners include nine-year-old Janel Satybekova, second year SPCE Naryn mental math student, who won first place and was the champion in level 9 of the 7-9 age category; and Zuhro Elnazarova from SPCE Khorog, who received the champion title in level 5 of the 10-17 age category. SPCE students, Shogayosi Mamadrizokhonov, Sohibdavlat Qalandarkhonova, and Anisa Imomberdiyeva placed second in different levels of their age categories, and Nurbek Zamirbekov, Ayana Ormotoeva, and Zuhro Alifbekova placed 3rd.
