UCA Gift Opportunities
The University of Central Asia (UCA) offers a wide range of gift opportunities which can be tailored to the specific interests, desires, and aspirations of donors. As is the case with most universities, UCA's programmes are heavily subsidised to make quality education accessible and affordable. The generosity of donors and alumni play a vitally important role in securing UCA's long-term sustainability, and ability to respond to the needs and challenges of Central Asian countries – particularly its mountain communities.
Philanthropic support is gratefully acknowledged and recognized by UCA, and with the donor's permission given appropriate publicity.

"Pursuing a major at UCA is unforgettable. I had a remarkable opportunity to study on both campuses and learnt about the diverse cultures of Kyrgyzstan and Badakhshan. Over the summer I had a wonderful internship working at USAID in Monitoring and Evaluation. The Alishba Irshad Kassim Scholarship Fund at UCA
Alishba Irshad Kassim (1986-2019) was a force – sharp, articulate, and determined to leave the world a better place than she found it. Above all, she was generous and compassionate, touching the lives of family, friends, and acquaintances. Human rights was a cause close to Alishba's heart, and she knew that education was the gateway to tangible transformations – a philosophy she embodied during her career as an attorney.
Alishba visited Krygyzstan in 2018. During her visit she was touched by the beauty of this Central Asian country and its people. She found the mission of the University of Central Asia (UCA) very appealing and aligned with her own values. Established on the premise that education is the most cost-effective agent of change, the University of Central Asia, besides offering traditional baccalaureate and masters programs, also conducts short courses for students from seven to seventy, giving new meaning to life-long learning.
To memorialize Alishba’s legacy, her family and friends have established a Scholarship Fund at the University of Central Asia’s School of Arts and Sciences, to offer merit-based assistance that focuses on rewarding ambitious, driven, goal-oriented individuals with a background of consistent civic involvement or community service. The Scholarships are open to Freshmen students who have maintained an average GPA of 3+ during the Preparatory (First) Year at UCA.
Any amount is welcome and helps to grow the Alishba Irshad Kassim Scholarship Fund at UCA, ensuring that deserving students are not denied access to quality education.
