UCA Renews Partnership with Eurasia-Pacific Uninet
UCA has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering global academic and research collaboration by renewing its partnership with Eurasia-Pacific Uninet (EPU). Professor Christopher Gerry, Rector of UCA, formalised the renewal by signing a Declaration of Collaboration with EPU.
EPU is a prestigious network that connects over 180 academic institutions across Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the Pacific. This renewed partnership provides UCA with enhanced opportunities for research, education, and mobility, strengthening its position as a globally engaged university.
Ahead of the partnership renewal, Professor Gerry participated in the 7th EPU Plenary Meeting held in Vienna in September 2024. During the meeting, Professor Gerry underscored UCA’s commitment to international partnerships and knowledge exchange, highlighting its role as a key contributor to academic innovation in the region.
Through this renewed partnership, UCA will benefit from:
- Student and Faculty Mobility: Exchange programmes and research visits within the EPU network, including Erasmus+ initiatives.
- Joint Research Projects: Seed funding for collaborative research and joint grant applications.
- Innovative Academic Programmes: Co-development of double-degree programmes and blended or online courses.
- Academic Events and Training: Participation in conferences, summer schools, and specialised programmes to broaden regional and global perspectives.
- International Supervision and Mentorship: Collaboration in supervising doctoral candidates and advancing academic quality standards.
