Institute of Public Policy and Administration

Low income countries in the Central Asian region face social and economic issues that are analytically complex. Building regional capacity in the search for solutions is the Institute of Public Policy and Administration's (IPPA) core aim, and it specializes in applied research on economic and social policy. Its multilingual publications and knowledge dissemination efforts aim to ensure that societal actors have access to this research. IPPA also offers professional programmes for civil servants and policy and research communities to advance evidence-based policy-making.

IPPA, established in 2011, is a regional think tank concentrated on economic and social policy. It has published over 60  papers in these areas in English and Russian as part of the IPPA Working Papers Series. Its professional educational programmes aim to enhance governments’ and civil society's analytical capacity to use evidence-based research.

Projects

The Institute contributes to sound public policy and administration in the region by conducting research on regional issues, publishing and disseminating credible findings, offering professional development to government and civil society, tailoring undergraduate and graduate programs to meet emerging demands for policy analysis, and sparking insight and debate through outreach events. Some of IPPA's current projects include:
