Academic Council

The Academic Council (AC) serves as UCA's principal academic governance body, ensuring the integrity, quality, and advancement of academic programmes and policies. The AC is responsible for academic planning, curriculum approval, and the development of teaching and research standards. It also provides recommendations to enhance educational outcomes and research initiatives.

Comprising representatives from UCA’s Schools (School of Arts and Sciences, School of Professional and Continuing Education, and Graduate School of Development), faculty, and senior academic leaders, the AC fosters collaboration and alignment with UCA’s mission. Chaired by the Rector, the Council provides strategic guidance on academic priorities, ensuring adherence to UCA’s commitment to excellence in higher education.
