Invitation to Expert Workshop: Developing agricultural value chains in Central Asia: best practices and open questions
UCA’s Graduate School of Development in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and SDGnexus Network based at Justus Liebig University Giessen will host the Expert Workshop on 6 October in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
Enhancing the integration of farmers into value chains has been a recent focus of agricultural development efforts worldwide. This workshop provides a platform for sharing experiences and collect best practices from current research and technical assistance projects in Kyrgyzstan and discuss them in a regional and global context. The workshop emphasise the socio-economic dimensions of technology adoption, management upgrading as well as up- and downstream integration. Experts and interested parties from academia, policy and donor community are welcome to attend.
