"DIGITAL CASA" - Digital literacy project

University of Central Asia in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Development is organizing a series of trainings for civil servants under the "DIGITAL CASA-Kyrgyz Republic" project. The aim of the project is to develop digital literacy among civil servants in Kyrgyz Republic and provide free training to 1500 civil servants, of whom 50% are women.

The trainings cover a range of topics including Microsoft Office, data analysis, principles of digitalization, management of IT projects, cybersecurity, data privacy, and artificial intelligence. The trainings are set to be launched in April 2023, and will be delivered in a hybrid mode to civil servants from Bishkek, Chuy and Naryn regions, as well as Djalal Abad, and Issyk-kul regions.

Since the start of the project, UCA has trained more than 300 government officials in the Naryn region and more than 700 from other regions of Kyrgyzstan. In total, during the implementation of the project, the university trained 1,829 civil servants, of which 64% were women, in the following areas: MS Office, database analysis, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), data privacy, digital technologies. economics, electronic signature, digitalization for civil servants, cybercrime, government portal “Tunduk”, and electronic document management system.
129 government employees have been nominated to take the ICDL test, the world's leading computer skills certification.

The overall implementation of the "DIGITAL CASA-Kyrgyz Republic" project is overseen by the Institute of Public Policy and Administration (IPPA). We believe that this project will not only improve the digital literacy of civil servants but also contribute to the digital transformation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
