UCA Supports National Championship Among Young Athletes in Kyrgyzstan
The University of Central Asia collaborated with the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Kyrgyzstan, offering support as the General Partner of the "I am a Champion" National Championship among students of sports schools. This prestigious Championship took place in Naryn from 1 to 5 May and hosted 1,200 athletes from all seven provinces of the country. Across five days, athletes competed in 12 sports disciplines, including boxing, football, volleyball, wrestling, judo, and traditional Kyrgyz sports games. Football and volleyball matches were held at the sports facilities of the UCA’s Campus in Naryn.
The Games commenced with a celebratory Opening Ceremony on 1 May at the central stadium of Kochkor District, Naryn Province. Mr Muzaffar Jorubov, UCA’s Chief Operating Officer, extended a warm welcome to the athletes and guests, joined by esteemed dignitaries including the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Information Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr Aibek Abdymomunov, and First Deputy Governor of Naryn Province, Mr Adyl Saparov.
Deputy Minister Abdymomunov took the stage to formally present the Ministry’s Certificates of Appreciation to UCA's senior leadership for their support of the Games.
