UCA and Karakoram International University Partner to Advance Education and Sustainable Development in Mountain Regions

UCA and Karakoram International University (KIU) in Pakistan have signed a Memorandum of Intent, reaffirming their commitment to advancing education, research, and sustainable development in the mountainous regions of Central and South Asia.

This partnership opens opportunities for faculty and student exchanges, collaborative research, and capacity-building programmes designed to meet the unique needs of mountain communities and promote regional development.

The Memorandum was signed by Mr Muzaffar Jorubov, Chief Operating Officer at UCA, and Dr Haider Sajjad, Head of the International Department at KIU.

As part of UCA’s Mountain University Partnership, UCA and KIU have previously collaborated on several initiatives, including joint academic sessions, establishing an AI Lab at KIU, and capacity-building efforts such as a two-month gemology and stone-processing training programme at KIU for faculty members of Khorog State University.
