Workshop: Academic Integrity on Turnitin

On 30 September 2022, UCA faculty members attended a practical workshop on getting started with Turnitin - an Internet-based plagiarism service employed at UCA.  

Turnitin is plagiarism detection software that scans student works for matched text by comparing it with a larger database of student works, publications, and materials available on the internet. The Turnitin service is available through an interface built in to UCA’s Learning Management System. UCA students are expected to practice academic integrity. Turnitin is a learning technology tool that helps students meet these requirements and learn how to reference and cite.
