13 December 2024

The University of Central Asia’s (UCA) delegation led by its Rector, Professor Cristopher Gerry, met with the senior leadership of Nazarbayev University (NU) in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Nazarbayev University team included its President, Professor Waqar Ahmad, and Vice-President of Student Affairs and International Cooperation, Kadisha Dairova. Discussions were also held with NU’s Enrollment Management team, Academic Advising Office, and Career and Advising Center.

The leadership of the two universities discussed collaborating on research as well as student and faculty mobility as well as graduate study opportunities for UCA staff and students at NU.

This visit builds on the growing collaboration between the two institutions, including a recent visit by NU senior leadership to UCA in Bishkek and the participation of NU faculty and researchers in the inaugural UCA Digital Forum.
