UCA Leadership Discusses Strengthening Collaboration with Kyrgyz Ministry of Education

On 31 January 2024, Dr Shamsh Kassim-Lakha, Chairman, Board of Trustees, University of Central Asia (UCA), along with Professor Christopher Gerry, Acting Rector of UCA, met with  Mr Rasul Abazbek uulu, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Deputy Minister warmly welcomed the UCA delegation and conveyed greetings from Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbayeva, who was on overseas business travel. Expressing gratitude for UCA's support to the Ministry and the country's educational system, Mr. Abazbek uulu affirmed the Ministry's commitment to continued cooperation with UCA.

Dr Kassim-Lakha extended his appreciation to the Ministry for its ongoing support to UCA. The UCA Chairman also briefed the Deputy Minister on UCA's new initiatives and achievements, with a special mention of the success achieved by its graduates who have secured admission for their graduate studies at renowned universities worldwide, including Brown, University of Michigan, Simon Fraser, University of Toronto, and the National University of Singapore.

Deputy Minister Abazbek uulu presented a book containing Kyrgyz proverbs, sayings, and wisdom quotes to the UCA delegation.
