Mariia Guzikova
Mariia Guzikova has 25 years of experience in higher education, working in both academic and project management roles. Before joining the University of Central Asia, she served as the First Vice-Dean and Head of the International Office at the Higher School of Economics in Saint Petersburg, Russia. In these positions, she led the development of undergraduate programmes in the humanities and initiated continuing education projects.
Earlier in her career, Mariia held leadership roles at Ural Federal University. There, she contributed to the creation and accreditation of academic programmes, fostered international collaborations, and worked on enhancing the university's global reputation.
She holds a Specialist Diploma in Linguistics and Area Studies, MA in Educational Management and Leadership from the Institute of Education, University of London. Mariia has Ph.D in Historical Sciences from Ural State University since 2004.
A certified trainer of the Instructional Skills Workshop and an experienced instructional designer, Mariia has extensive experience in developing and delivering teaching enhancement programmes for university and school instructors.
