Murad Dobani

Murad Dobani brings over 20 years of experience in international and dynamic environments, primarily within the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). He joined UCA in 2022 as Financial Controller and was promoted to Finance Director in February 2024. Since joining UCA, Murad has played a pivotal role in strengthening and enhancing the University’s financial systems and operations, contributing significantly to its organizational growth and sustainability.

Prior to UCA, Murad built extensive experience within AKDN institutions. He began his career with the Aga Khan University (AKU) in 2005, where he advanced to Finance Manager, overseeing risk management, compliance, budgeting, and external audits for AKU entities, including its international branches. He also spent nine years at the French Medical Institute for Children (FMIC) in Afghanistan, where he was instrumental in developing comprehensive finance functions and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.

Murad holds an MBA and is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK). His certifications include Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals (Cornell University, USA), QMS Auditor/Lead Auditor (Singapore), and Health Center Financial Management (USA). His expertise and leadership continue to drive UCA’s financial performance and institutional development.
