The Graduate School of Development’s Institute of Public Policy and Administration (IPPA) invites bachelor's students to join the “DIG DEV KGZ 2024: Digitalisation for Development” hackathon, a featured event in the upcoming Digital Forum 2024: From Vision to Voice.
Event Details:
- Hackathon Dates: 8–9 November 2024
- Location: Light Academy College of Engineering, 23 Sukhe-Batora Street, Bishkek
- Team Structure: Groups of 3-5 students
- Challenge Duration: 18 hours
Hackathon Challenges
Teams will develop prototype applications that address critical issues within one of the following categories:
- Digitalisation of public administration;
- Artificial intelligence, big data, and cybersecurity;
- Smart cities.
Prizes:
Each category will feature a winning team, awarded $650. Additional special nominations will receive certificates and gifts.
Award Ceremony
The award ceremony will take place at the Digital Forum 2024: From Vision to Voice on 14 November 2024 at the Orion Hotel. Organised by IPPA in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and the DCASA-KR project, this event will convene scientists, activists, and policymakers to explore the future of digitalisation in government.
