Rebekah Ramsay

Rebekah Ramsay is a Senior Lecturer of History with UCA’s School of Arts and Sciences. She recently completed her doctorate at Emory University, where her research focused on cultural revolution and citizenship construction in early Soviet Kazakhstan. She is currently developing this research into a book manuscript, and also beginning preliminary research for a related project on the role of Central Asia in twentieth-century internationalism. Her work has been supported by fellowships from Emory University and the American Councils for International Education. Along with colleagues at UCA and partner institutions, she also supports projects related to Central Asian oral histories, cultural heritage, and digital humanities.
