Ernest Abdyjaparov, born on February 27, 1961, in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. He is a film director, screenwriter, and producer. In 1983, he graduated from the Pedagogical Institute of Russian Language and Literature and initially worked as a school teacher.

Abdyjaparov's film career began in 1988 as the director of the film magazine "Korogoch." He became the editor of Kyrgyz film in 1992 and led the "Umai" youth creative foundation in 1993. In 1999, he founded his own film studio and served as co-secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of Kyrgyzstan until 2001, then as Kyrgyz film's editor-in-chief until 2002.

Since 2008, Abdyjaparov has held annual master classes, mentoring many cinematic talents. He has directed 14 feature films and gained international acclaim.
