Setenay Kizilkaya is currently working as a doctoral researcher at Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO).  She aims at exploring how climate risks are perceived by rural communities and how these perceptions affect (im)mobility intentions from an intersectional perspective, focusing on the Issyk-Kul region in Kyrgyzstan. Her project is supervised by Dr. Asel Murzakulova at UCA.

Before starting her PhD, Setenay completed her bachelor’s degree in International Relations at Middle East Technical University, Turkey, and continued her studies in German-Turkish Master’s Program in Social Sciences at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
