Digital & Virtual Experiments Exhibition
The exhibition features contemporary digital artworks and offers a space for creative conversations about “hypermediation” — how it influences our sense of self and shapes cultures in the increasingly digital world we inhabit. To launch the exhibition, our guest of honor, Hon. Prof. Paul Thomas, will give a talk entitled "The Art of Digital Human Interface Culture".
Paul Thomas is the founder and series chair of the International Transdisciplinary Imaging Conferences from 2010 to 2022. Thomas’s current creative practice, the ‘Quantum Chaos’ artwork, is based on experiments conducted in collaboration with the Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology at UNSW, where he is an honorary professor. His publications include Quantum Art and Uncertainty (Intellect Books, 2018).
