Exhibition and Open-air documentaries in Tajikistan

The Mountain Societies Research Institute (MSRI) is organising a one-day exhibition to showcase its work in development, agriculture, and hazard management, focusing on mountain communities. The event will contain a photo exhibition highlighting fieldwork and our facilities on campus, including various devices used, complete with accessible scientific explanations. Presentations will be given in both Shugni and Russian, each lasting 15 minutes, to ensure accessibility for all attendees, open to the general public. The main purpose of this presentations will be to translate into a tangible language our findings, so that the people can make use of it (farmers for example).

Open-air documentaries projection

MSRI will host an open-air cinema on campus during the spring and summer months, screening 2-3 documentaries focused on climate change, both globally and within the region. This initiative aims to raise awareness and spark dialogue about the pressing environmental issues affecting our planet and local communities. The screenings could be followed by discussions sessions, including students, faculty, and the broader public (about climate change and its impacts). The outdoor setting will encourage participation of community.
