As part of the Alumni Talk initiative, we are giving the floor to our graduates — they will share how the skills gained at SPCE have helped them achieve success and grow as professionals in their fields.
The School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) of the University of Central Asia invites you to the master class “Media Literacy and Responsible Content Creation”.
Our guest speaker is SPCE and SAS alumnus Yekaterina Shubina, with a combination of academic training, and practical work in media, she will share how we create, consume, and critically evaluate information.
About the Speaker
Communications and Media graduate from the University of Central Asia, graduating cum laude (with honors), with a background in media production, visual storytelling, digital communications, and content creation.
During her studies, she participated in international academic programs in Canada and Scotland, including a graduate-level course in New Media Narratives at the University of Alberta and the Winter School at the Glasgow School of Art. These experiences provided her with an opportunity to explore diverse approaches to storytelling, visual communication, and contemporary media.
She has hands-on experience in public engagement and digital communications, including social media management and the creation of educational content for UCA’s mental health support service. As a filmmaker and storyteller, she has worked across documentary filmmaking, screenwriting, audiovisual production, and visual communication.
About the Alumni Talk Initiative
From the Alumni Affairs Office of the University of Central Asia, we present the Alumni Talk initiative, which focuses on our students and graduates.
It is a platform designed to exchange experiences and strengthen professional connections, where alumni share their career stories, discuss areas of expertise, and provide valuable advice to the broader UCA community and beyond.
