Mohammad Imtiyaz Gulbarga holds a PhD in Computer Science from Ala-Too International University, a Master’s degree in Computer Networks and Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the SECAB Institute of Engineering and Technology in India. He is also a Cisco Certified CCNA Instructor.
Prior to joining the University of Central Asia, Mr Gulbarga served as Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Cyber Security at Ala-Too International University, where he taught courses including Introduction to Computer Science, Information Security, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity Foundations, Operating Systems, and Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking. He also served as Coordinator of the Cisco Networking Academy and the Cybersecurity Centre at Ala-Too International University.
Mr Gulbarga brings more than ten years of academic teaching, curriculum development, training, and research experience. His academic and professional interests include Computer Science, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Operating Systems, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. He has also coordinated workshops in Computer Science and Cybersecurity and developed academic and professional collaborations with institutions and organisations in Kyrgyzstan, the United Kingdom, the United States, Kazakhstan, and India.
His research has been published in international academic journals and conferences, including IEEE, Springer Nature’s Scientific Reports, and publications of the Association for Computing Machinery. His research interests and publications cover areas such as network security, artificial intelligence, machine learning, malware detection, educational technology, and renewable energy systems.
Mr Gulbarga has received an Academic Award for Excellence in Teaching and holds professional certifications and affiliations in networking and cybersecurity, including Cisco Networking Academy and Palo Alto Networks.
He is proficient in English and Urdu and has working knowledge of Russian, Arabic, and Turkish.
