Vasila Sulaymonova is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at UCA’s School of Arts and Sciences at the Khorog Campus. Previously, she taught chemistry at Avicenna Tajik State Medical University for International students and has experience in organising short courses and lectures for the Geoscience students of the Bergakademie Freiberg Technical University in Germany. She has attended and presented her research at several international conferences.
Sulaymonova is a fellow with UCA’s Central Asian Faculty Development Programme (CAFDP) and is currently finalizing her Ph.D. at the Bergakademie Freiberg Technical University. During her post-doctoral fellowship, she will continue working on surface processes and will focus on the geomorphology of the Pamir Mountains. She is exploring the topographic growth of the Pamir Mountains and has also dated fluvial terraces using terrestrial cosmogenic nuclides (TCN). She holds a Chemistry diploma from Khorog State University.
