The Local Economic Development in Selected High Mountain Regions project aims to strengthen the competitiveness of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including small-scale farmers and producers in the Gorno-Badakshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO).

UCA’s School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) aims to establish a Centre for Entrepreneurship (CE) in Khorog, GBAO. The Centre will provide post investment services, through business consultations and trainings with an aim to contribute in income generation, business growth, improvement of competitiveness, and market development. The establishment of the Centre is proposed for the consideration by, and support of, the Local Economic Development in High Mountain Regions Project of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH as a sub grant through the Aga Khan Foundation, Tajikistan.
