Ameen Khan is an accomplished technology leader with over 20 years of international experience in digital transformation, enterprise systems, and IT governance across the higher education and healthcare sectors.

At the University of Central Asia (UCA), Ameen provides strategic leadership for the University’s Information Technology function as Head of Information Technology department and as a member of the University Planning Committee (UPC). He oversees digital transformation initiatives, enterprise applications, and IT infrastructure across all campuses, ensuring that technology systems effectively support UCA’s academic and operational goals. He also leads efforts to strengthen IT governance, cybersecurity, and digital innovation, promoting efficiency, collaboration, and excellence in service delivery.

Before joining UCA, Ameen served as Senior Manager for Enterprise Applications at Aga Khan University (AKU), where he led multi-regional technical teams supporting Financials & Supply Chain Management and Student Life Cycle processes. During his tenure, he spearheaded major ERP implementations and upgrades across Pakistan, Afghanistan, and East Africa. His leadership contributed to strengthening enterprise architecture, optimizing data-driven decision-making, and improving system reliability and efficiency across multiple campuses.

Earlier in his career, Ameen held senior technical and project management roles at Aga Khan Health Services (Tanzania) and Hamdard University (Pakistan). He played a pivotal role in designing and implementing large-scale IT systems, financial and health information systems, and web-based applications that enhanced institutional effectiveness and service delivery. His work reflects a strong commitment to innovation, capacity building, and aligning technology with organizational strategy.

Ameen holds a Master of Science in Information Technology and a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Hamdard University, Karachi, where he graduated as a Gold Medalist and was recognized as the Best Graduate of the Faculty. He has also completed numerous professional certifications and training programmes in project management, enterprise data management, healthcare leadership, and telemedicine.
