Dr Gulshat Muhametzhanova holds a PhD in Computer Education and Instructional Technologies from Middle East Technical University (Türkiye). She also studied at Ruhr University Bochum (Germany) through the Erasmus programme and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. Prior to joining the University of Central Asia, she served as Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Informatics at Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University. Her teaching experience includes Programming Languages and Techniques, Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems, Software Engineering, Information Systems Management, Languages and Methods for Data Exchange, and Research Methods. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Educational Research, Distance Education, Social Network Analysis, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and Assistive Technologies. She has contributed to research projects in the fields of educational technology, distance learning, and e-government.
Dr Muhametzhanova's international academic experience includes serving as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of South Carolina, USA, from 2023 to 2024. She has also participated in academic and research programmes supported by Erasmus and DAAD in Germany. In addition, she serves as a reviewer for several academic journals, including Education and Information Technologies, The International Review of Research in Open and Distributed Learning (IRRODL), Croatian Journal of Education, and Open Psychology.
