UCA Employees Honoured by the Ministry of Enlightenment for Excellence in Education

The University of Central Asia (UCA) is proud to announce that two of its employees have been recognised for their exceptional contributions to education by the Ministry of Enlightenment of the Kyrgyz Republic

Nurbek Nisharapov, Head of UCA’s School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) in the Kyrgyz Republic, has been awarded the prestigious “Excellence in Education” medal for his outstanding leadership and achievements in promoting professional and continuing education. SPCE, established in 2006, provides short-cycle professional certificates and training programmes in fields such as business management, applied languages, IT, accounting, public administration, and entrepreneurship. SPCE operates learning centres in Naryn, Bishkek, and Osh in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as in Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and Afghanistan, reaching thousands of learners with practical skills for employment and personal development.

Tuiumkan Nishanova, Researcher and Translator at UCA’s Graduate School of Development (GSD), has received a Certificate of Honour in recognition of her significant contributions to education, particularly in translating and adapting new-generation Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) books. GSD is UCA’s centre for multidisciplinary research and expertise on Central Asia’s social, economic, cultural, and environmental development. It undertakes research on climate change, quality of life, community engagement, and sustainable development, contributing to both international academic knowledge and practical solutions for Central Asian communities.

The awards reflect UCA’s mission to promote academic excellence, advance knowledge and research, and develop skills that contribute to positive change throughout Central Asia.
