UCA Alumni Reconnect in Dubai
Fresh from the success of UCA’s first-ever Alumni Reunion in the United States, alumni in Dubai recently came together for an evening of reconnection, conversation, and shared memories.
Malik Kotadia, UCA's Head of Advancement and Public Affairs, was in Dubai for the occasion, joining graduates from across the UAE as they caught up with old friends, met fellow alumni for the first time, and reflected on the many paths their lives have taken since their time at UCA — new jobs, new cities, new responsibilities, and experiences that have shaped who they are today.
For some, the journey to finding their footing in a city as large and diverse as Dubai was not easy. Alumni spoke warmly about how UCA had prepared them to navigate unfamiliar environments, adapt to new cultures and languages, and develop the resilience and confidence they needed to build successful lives far from home.
The evening was a reminder of the strong sense of connection that continues to bring UCA graduates together, wherever life takes them. Alumni spoke with enthusiasm about connecting with more UCA graduates across the UAE and, over time, across the wider Middle East — with the possibility of a UCA alumni chapter in the region beginning to take shape.
As UCA’s alumni community continues to grow around the world, evenings like this are a reminder that while our graduates may leave campus and build lives in different places, the connections they made at UCA continue to travel with them.
