UCA Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Chemonics

The University of Central Asia's School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chemonics, a prime contractor for USAID's Learn Together initiative in Tajikistan.

Dr Maxim Khomyakov, Dean of UCA's SAS and Phillip Butterfield, Chief of Party, Chemonics, discussed prospective collaborations in implementing USAID activities across schools in Khorog and the surrounding districts of Gorno-Badakshan Autonomuous Oblast (GBAO) in Tajikistan.

“The MOU enables SAS to expand its offers of socially relevant internships for SAS students. Through participation in the project ‘Learn Together’ UCA students will contribute to the well-being of mountain communities, and, to the fulfilment of UCA's mission,” said Dr Khomyakov.
