
UCA’s SPCE Celebrates 100 Civil Servants and Educators Completing English Language Programme in Kyrgyzstan
UCA SPCE in Kyrgyzstan held a certificate delivery ceremony for participants of its English language programme, aimed at enhancing communication skills among civil servants and educators. This initiative was implemented under the “Accelerating Education Attainment in Central Asia for Resilience” (AEAR-CA) project, funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO and implemented in partnership with the Aga Khan Foundation in Kyrgyzstan.
The project focused on upskilling government officials and educators, equipping them with essential language skills to strengthen international collaboration and improve participation in global initiatives. A total of 100 professionals successfully completed the programme, including 24 representatives from the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, 52 from the Ministry of Education and Science and Kyrgyz National University in Bishkek, and 24 participants from Osh State University.
The ceremony in Bishkek was honoured by the presence of newly appointed Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Albert Mahmetkulov, and Iskender Sulaimanov, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the event, Asel Botalieva, Manager of SPCE’s Bishkek Learning Centre, Samarat Mambaetazhieva, Manager of Outreach Activities in Kyrgyzstan, and Nurbek Nisharapov, SPCE Kyrgyzstan Country Head, were recognised with Appreciation Letters from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic for their contributions to the programme’s success.

Over the past four months, we have gained valuable language skills that will enhance our professional communication, support our work-related travels, and enrich our daily interactions" - shared Aman Ykanov, Specialist in the Department of School, Out-of-School and Additional Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
