UCA’s Bokhtar Learning Centre Recognised for Excellence in Education
The Bokhtar Learning Centre of the University of Central Asia’s (UCA) School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE) has been honoured with the prestigious “Best Learning Centre” award under the “50 Bests in Education” nomination in the Khatlon region. The recognition was presented during the Regional Teacher’s Day celebration, highlighting the Centre’s outstanding contribution to education and community development.
Remarkably, this marks the second time the Bokhtar Learning Centre has received this distinction — a testament to its consistent commitment to excellence, quality teaching, and long-term impact on learners in southern Tajikistan.
Adding to this achievement, Nuridin Asoev, a full-time English Instructor at the Bokhtar Learning Centre, was named “Innovative Teacher of the Year 2025.” This prestigious recognition was awarded through the Innovative Teacher Contest organised by the English Without Borders (EWB) Network and the U.S. Embassy in Tajikistan, a professional community that unites more than 6,000 English teachers across the country.
The contest included two stages: an application review and the submission of a recorded video lesson. Nuridin Asoev’s lesson, titled “The World of Virtual Jobs,” impressed the jury with its creativity, relevance, and interactive approach to learning. Reflecting on the experience, he shared:
“This recognition has given me renewed energy and greater motivation to continue my commitment to education and contribute to the development of the next generation in Tajikistan.”
These accomplishments reaffirm SPCE’s role as a leading provider of accessible, high-quality education across Central Asia, empowering individuals and communities through lifelong learning and innovation.
