UCA Alumni Reunion 2025 in Dushanbe

Co-operative Education Programme
20 November 2025

UCA hosted its annual Alumni Reunion in Dushanbe, bringing together graduates from multiple cohorts for a day of learning, connection, and celebration. The gathering formed part of UCA’s broader effort to strengthen alumni engagement across the country, following the Bishkek reunion earlier in the month.

This year’s reunions marked a significant milestone for the University. Since UCA’s School of Arts and Sciences inaugural graduation in 2021, five cohorts of talented graduates have joined its growing alumni community. The reunions in Bishkek and Dushanbe were designed to honour this collective progress, deepen the relationship between alumni and the University, and provide a platform for networking, mentorship, and professional growth.

A Day of Shared Experiences and Practical Learning

The Dushanbe reunion brought together 30 participants — including 26 alumni from various academic majors and graduating classes — and started with an interactive workshop led by Jahongir Jalolov, CEO of Navbat and Co-Founder of Livo, on “Empowering the Next Generation: AI, Skills, and the Future of Work.” Participants explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping industries, jobs, and opportunities in Central Asia and beyond.

A key message for me was the importance of adaptability. With AI reshaping the job market, we must constantly develop our skills and stay flexible. The workshop reminded me that critical thinking is one of our strongest assets.”— said Sumaino Shakarbekova (2025 Alumna, Communications and Media)

One of the speakers, Zaytuna Saydullaeva, CEO of Beehive Design & Development and TechXtile Hub of Excellence shared practical advice on launching entrepreneurial projects, overcoming setbacks, and seizing new opportunities.

A panel discussion on graduate studies and career development followed, featuring UCA alumni pursuing master’s degrees or working in leading organisations across Tajikistan, Europe, and North America. They spoke about navigating transitions after university, building meaningful networks, and staying confident during periods of uncertainty.

The panel discussion was incredibly motivating. Seeing how others have grown — and hearing honest stories about doubts and achievements — made me feel connected and inspired. I even received advice about starting my own project, which gave me clarity and confidence.”— shared Ismatullo Mukhamedzhanov (2022 Alumnus, Computer Sciences)

“What stood out to me is how unique each graduate’s journey is. Hearing these stories showed me that success has many paths, and every challenge shapes us into stronger, more resilient people. It reminded me not to compare my journey with others.”
— Manizha Murodbekova,( 2022 Alumna, Communications and Media)

Strengthening the UCA Alumni Network

The Dushanbe reunion concluded with a recognition ceremony honouring active alumni contributors. The event reaffirmed UCA’s commitment to nurturing a strong, engaged alumni community across Central Asia, built on shared experience, mutual support, and a collective spirit of curiosity and growth.

“Today’s reunion reassured me that it’s completely fine not to have every step of your future planned. Sometimes focusing on the next day — not the next five years — is enough to keep moving forward with confidence.” — Ozar Aini, (2021 Alumnus, Computer Sciences)
